  Please join MAX on Friday, June 5, at the Orpheum Theater, for the forever popular THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. The musical tells the story of a disfigured musical genius known as ‘The Phantom’ who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House. Captivated by a beautiful and talented soprano,  Christine, the Phantom lures her to become his protégé and falls obsessively in love with her. But Christine loves the handsome Raoul, which creates a dramatic turn of events where jealousy, madness and passions collide.

  Andrew Lloyd Webber’s romantic, haunting and soaring score includes “The Music of the Night,” “All I Ask of You,” “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again,” “Masquerade” and the iconic title song.

  MAX has acquired 19 seats in Orchestra at a fantastic discounted price. Pricing is $90 for dues-paying MAX Members and $100 for non-members.  Friday and Saturday Orchestra seats already are largely sold out now, and buying any remaining similar tickets directly on the BroadwaySF website currently would be over $280 (including service fee). Our discounted tickets likely could sell quickly, so register soon. Dues-paying members will have early priority (5 days in advance) to purchase tickets relative to non-members.

  Tickets are in Row B - Center Orchestra, as well as in Center and Side Orchestra (aisle toward the Center for Side Orchestra). Row B could be loud but you will see and hear everything up close! This is where I will be sitting! Register specifically for Row B or for the Center-Side Orchestra seats.

  No refunds after May 26. A waitlist will be available for cancellations or possible additional tickets.  To reserve a spot, click on Register on the left .

• Roaring Camp Train Adventure

  Travel over trestles, through towering redwood groves and up a winding narrow-gauge grade to the summit of Bear Mountain as conductors narrate the history of Roaring Camp, the railroad and the forest. In the 1880s, narrow-gauge steam locomotives were used to haul giant redwood logs out of the mountains. Roaring Camp’s steam engines date from 1890 and are among the oldest and most authentically preserved narrow-gauge steam engines providing regularly scheduled passenger service in America.

  We’ll meet in Scotts Valley at Bruno’s Bar and Grill at noon. After lunch, we’ll head to Roaring camp and board the 1:30 pm train. The train tour will last approximately one hour and 15 minutes. Roaring camp has several exhibits relevant to the Santa Cruz Mountains, logging and railroads that can be viewed before or after the train ride.

  Cost:  $45 per person for the train ride (paid when signing up), and $10 per car parking charge (paid at Roaring Camp).

  Join MAX at the Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation's One Night Only with the Cast of Phantom Sings, a Benefit Cabaret at the Marines' Memorial Theater in San Francisco.

  One night only, will feature cast members from the Broadway touring production of "Phantom of the Opera"  plus other stars from Broadway, TV and Film, performing some of their favorite songs of high energy, music and dance!

This year REAF is celebrating 31 years of its Help is on the Way benefit performance series!

  Max Goes to the Bear Valley Music Festival! Let Us Know You're Interested!

  Cost Summary: The total for the package is approximately $820 per person, which includes all four performances and 3 night accommodations at the lodge.
  

  Breakdown of costs as follows:

  The package includes four performances for approximately $265, with a possible group discount of 10–20%. For lodging, you can choose to stay at Bear Valley Lodge, which costs around $555 for three nights and offers a rustic atmosphere with limited services. Alternatively, you can stay in Murphys, a more lively area with wine tasting and restaurants, located 40 minutes away. Other lodging options include Arnold, Dorrington, or vacation rentals along Highway 4.

  We anticipate possible discounts depending on the number of attendees. We also understand that not everyone may be able to stay for all three nights, so we're happy to work with those who can only attend part of the event (2 night stay with 3 performances).
